Henry Jr has moved away from home and stays in different hotels different weeks. Ever since Henry Jr was in the early teens he developed a high tolerance level for alcohol. And now he likes to be on his own drinking in his room.
"There was a shack in the back with four doors. He walked up to #3 and opened it. We walked in. There was a cot, a blanket, a small dresser and a little stand. On the stand was a hotplate." (Page 295)
This is one of the places Henry Jr stays at. It's a quiet little place with cheap rent and in the middle of the town. Henry Jr is a student and earns his money by gambling and drinking his buddies under the table. The place is perfect for him.
