The main character of the book is telling the story of what he remembers as a little boy.
Henry, the main character, describes the environment around him when he’s two years old and sitting under a table.
His mother’s name is Katherine and his father’s name is Henry, so as a matter of fact, the main character in this book is called Henry Jr.
Henry Jr. lives in Los Angeles and his family owns a Model-T Ford.
Emily is the name of his grandmother and Leonard is the name of his grandfather.
Emily and Leonard doesn’t live together anymore probably because of Leonard’s drinking problem.
Leonard have been an army officer in Germany but came to America when he heard that the streets were made of gold, but they weren’t.
Nobody talks about Leonard, Henry Jr. can’t understand why, he seems to be so nice.

I’ve only read four pages, so yet we don’t know much about the environment and Henry Jr’s personality.
