Character quotation

"I didn't have a job, I didn't go to school. I didn't do anything. I was bandaged, I was standing on the corner smoking a cigarette. I was a though man, I was a dangerous man. I knew things." (Page 158)

Henry Jr now has big problems with acne. The pimples are all over his face, chest and back. But at the hospital they now think they found a way to cure his acne and that's with bandage.
With his face covered with bandage he now feels more secure and got a really good self-confidence.

Environment quotation

"I went into my bedroom and stretched out on the bed. Why did they want to see me? What could they do? There was nothing to be done. There was nothing to talk about." (Page 151)

This happens before he gets the bandage and while his self-confidence is very low. Henry Jr got an unexpected visit from two guys from school but he didn't want to show his face. If his skin was perfectly normal he probably would open the door and talked to them, but instead of opening the door he ran and hide.
