Valen tines day a day of joy and happi ness?
I celebrated Valentines day by giving small heart shaped chocolates to all my friends and colleagues at work. Thats all Ive seen of Valentines day.
Oh, actually one more thing. Vanessa was so depressed she cried at work, Hank is so depressed hes not going out tonight. (Or hes just humping an au pair? Never mind.) Another colleague didnt want to go out tonight either as she didnt want to be a bad company being all moody and down as she was. I am not good at reading people and their moods but this was quite obvious. Three friends really down on the same day. I totally blame Valentines day.
What it is good for? The flower shops? The store owners who sell little corny teddy bears that have a sign which says I love you? At least it seems quite clear that it is not for jemene man. There are two scenarios: You have a partner or you dont. If you have a partner chances are quite high that the partner doesnt do anything at all which would make you sad and youd feel a bit forgotten. If youre lucky you have a fantastic partner who takes you out on a romantic date but in that case you should already know that you are one of the lucky few. If you don have a partner you are quite certain that you wont get anything at all and that doesnt really cheer anyone up - does it?
Hence: Valentines day makes the ones that are already happy happier and the ones that already feel left alone and sad even more sad. Great!
Now Im going to Vanessa and celebrate that our hubs are away and that we will have to celebrate Valentines with one another. Unless she cries and troughs me out.

I agree totally... It's just a waist of time and money
