Page 78 "The Duke felt in this moment that his own dearest dream was to end all class distinctions and never again think of deadly order. He looked up and out of the dust at the unwinking stars, thought: Around one of those little stars circles Caladan... but I'll never again see my home." -Paul's father has just got the news that someone tried to kill Paul. He is worried and homesick.
Arrakis is a dangerous and very different planet compared to what everyone of house Atreides is used to.

My opinion on the book is that so far it's good, but the tempo is a bit slow for the moment. I hope things will start happening soon. But it is a really interesting story and a fascinating world Frank Herbert has come up with.

Page 78 "Well Gurney would find plenty of falling sand here, the Duke thought. The central wastelands beyond those moon-frosted cliffs were desert-barren rock, dunes, and blowing dust, an uncharted dry wilderness with here and there along its rim and perhaps scattered through it, knots of Fremen." -This quotation tell you how Arrakis is, it is a desert planet with a constant lack of water. Not the best planet to live on.
