Missisquoi was a village where a lot of different nationalities lived, not just Indians, also Frenchmen and some Englishmen.
The Frenchmen who thought they were better then everybody else were often drunk and treated the Indians like they were slaves.
But one day when a man called Le Frenais tried to do some horrible things with Mary, he disappeared on a strange way and didn't get found before the spring had come to the village.

A new reputation went throw the village, and people who earlier had been grateful to Mary because of her gift began to talk about her as a Witch.

Mary knew that her chances to survive in the village wasn't big now when the Christian had come, so she decided to follow Black Fox and his friend Naugatuck to Mount Royale.
Even if she now went to a village were the most of the people was French she thought it was a better idea then try to survive alone in the forest.

But I'm not sure that it was, because after just some hours in Mound Royale a man came to them with some...

Damaged troops came everyday to the village and Mary who had a lot to do tried to help as many as she could.
For every day she got more and more worried for her son, who hadn't come back yet.
She knew that he wasn't died, but she was worried that he maybe had been a prisoner.

Some of the warriors who had come home had English prisoners with them.
Mary who knew some of the prisoners from her earlier home tried to hide for them.
But she didn't succeed so well, because one of the women, Mrs Peterson began to visit her house and ask her a lot of questions about her earlier life.
When Mrs Peterson got to know that the Indian village was Marys home she became very angry and didn't talk to her again.
Instead Mrs Peterson began to talk about Mary with the other prisoners, and they talk about her as a Witch.

The same night she had a dream were she saw her husband die, and she had right, because when the men came home again after some weeks in war Jaybird wasn't with them.
But she hadn´t the time to mourned her husband more then some days before the next horrible thing happened.

The white men from the village on the other side of the lake had heard about the war and came with their army to the Indian village.
They demanded the Indians to hand out the warriors, and also the white woman (Mary) whom they had heard lived in the village.

Agnes woke up to the real world for just some hours before she again fell asleep.
This time it had gone 14 years since the last time, and Mary lived a happy life with Jaybird and her two children Black Fox and Speckled Bird in an Indian village.

Everyone in the village had big respect for her, because she was a Powwow (medical woman,)
and she had learned a lot about different kinds of diseases that had come with the White men over the years.
But the biggest thing that made her to a respected woman was because she had the gift to look into the future.

So the fear of war that doesn't should come to the village in many month had already came into Marys' mind, and she doesn't felt well about it.
She was afraid of the White mens' cruelty, and she knew that the Indians thought that they had more power then the actually had.
But when she was trying to warn her people for the White mens' strength the young Indians (one of them her own son) didn't listen and just went on with their talk about how weak...
